* WHAT...Heavy snow possible above 5000 Feet. Total snow
accumulations between 1 and 3 feet possible. South winds could
gust as high as 60 mph over high and exposed terrain.
* WHERE...North Central and Southeast Siskiyou County, South Central
Siskiyou County, and Western Siskiyou County at elevations above
5000 feet.
This includes the following passes or notable locations...
Etna Summit on Sawyers Bar Rd at 5950 ft.
Mt. Shasta ski park highway at 5462 ft.
Bunny Flat on Everitt Memorial highway at 6900 ft.
Grass Lake at Mt. Hebron at 5291 ft.
* WHEN...From Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel may be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The bulk of snowfall is expected above 5000
feet. Snow levels will be very high Thursday into Friday. Snow
levels are then forecast to fall from around 6500 feet to around
4500 feet between Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Snow
levels will be lowest on Saturday night and Sunday, with an
accumulating snow likely on Snowman Summit.
* WHAT...South winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible.
* WHERE...The Shasta Valley in central Siskiyou County, including
Interstate 5 through the Shasta Valley, Montague, Grenada and Weed.
* WHEN...From Friday morning through late Friday night.
* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and
cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds are likely during Friday
afternoon and evening.
